It is with deep sorrow that we were informed about the passing away of Prof Alex Chantraine, honorary Professor at the University of Geneva, Faculty of Medicine.
He dedicated most of his life to the scientific advancement of PRM discipline, acting as President of the UEMS section for PRM from 1994 to 1998 and afterwards, as President of the European Board of PRM from 1998 to 2000. From 1999 he was the chairman for the certification of training centers / site visits.
We will always remember his kind attitude and his struggle to promote rehabilitation quality in Europe.
Our sincere condolences and all our sympathy go to his family in these moments of mourning and sadness.

Monsieur Chantraîne était un professeur déjà renommé quand j ai commencé mon assistanat en 1981 Il travaillait à Genève mais revenait fréquemment à Nandrin C' était un homme dynamique qui a fait sa formation à Liège et a été à 2 doigts d' y revenir comme professeur début des années 80
Il a édité plusieurs livres de revalidation dont le dernier il y a 4 ans à peine et a suscité mon admiration pour ses compétences qui sont restées très vives Marguerite Dessalle
